Jupiter Billfish Tournaments
The annual Swordfish Challenge will allow contesting anglers to fish anywhere from Ft. Pierce down to Miami. Competing teams can fish a total of 3 days, weigh up to 6 fish, and up to 2 per day.
We designed this event to be fun yet challenging for our anglers. Our unique point system adds strategic depth, rewarding fishing teams based on total weight and encouraging imaginative fishing tactics to claim the big win!
Event Format
The format is designed to promote both competition and camaraderie. Strategic decision-making plays a key role, as teams must maximize their efforts to land the heaviest fish while adhering to the event's rules and limits.

Point System
- Released Swordfish: 75 pts
- Swordfish Caught & Weighed on Electric: 1 pt per pound
- Swordfish Caught & Weighed on Conventional Tackle: 1.1 pts per pound

When and where will the captains meeting be?
The 2024 Swordfish Challenge captains meeting is held at Belle's bar & grill from 6-8pm

What are the fishing days/ times?
The fishing days are September 28th- December 8th 2024.
You are able to fish a total of 3 days anytime from September 28th- December 8th. 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, daytime only
What are the fishing tournament fishing boundaries?
From 27.30.00 latitude (Ft. Pierce Inlet area) to 25.35.00 latitude (Fowey Light) and no further offshore than 079.30.00 longitude.
Boats can depart from any inlet between Ft. Pierce and Miami
How are we able to verify our catches and releases?
The Swordfish Challenge will utilize video catch verification for all participating boats
Each team will be prompted to show a phone or GPS with date and time, clearly stating the word of the day, and presenting the provided catch card (available at the captain's meeting)
